Care home sold out of administration for £1.3m

Property firm Avison Young has completed the sale of the site of a former care home in Wilmslow for the administrators for £1.3m.
Known as Hillside, the site which includes a 6,108 sq ft two-storey property and is only one mile from Wilmslow train station, has been bought by a local developer on an unconditional basis and is expected to be redeveloped for residential use.
Sholom Cohen from Avison Young said: “Development opportunities like the one presented at Hillside arise rarely in the current market, so we were confident we would achieve a premium price deserving of such a site.
“It is a fantastic semi-rural location and we expect high-quality redevelopment plans to come forward in due course giving the site a new lease of life.”
Adlington Road is characterised by a mix of large detached private residences, as well as low-rise apartments.
Wilmslow town centre is one mile from Hillside, whilst Manchester airport is approximately five miles north west, following the recent opening of the new £290m Manchester Airport East Link Road.
