Recruitment firm moves into new city centre office

Fircroft's Spring Gardens office

Recruitment and workforce solutions provider to the global technical and engineering industries, Fircroft, has this week opened a new Manchester city centre office.

The move comes as the company grows its permanent recruitment service offer throughout the UK and Europe.

The new office, located at 55 Spring Gardens, will act as a base for Fircroft’s UK and European permanent recruitment division.

This comes at a time of diversification and growth for Fircroft as it expands beyond its traditional oil & gas roots and develops a stronger presence in the automotive, defence, construction, ICT and bulk and speciality chemicals industries.

Ben Holden, Fircroft’s head of permanent recruitment, said: “Fircroft’s permanent recruitment division is rapidly expanding due to multiple successes in new industries and territories.

“As a result, we are opening up an office in Manchester city centre to act as an additional hub for our permanent recruitment activities across the UK and Europe.

“Fircroft’s permanent recruitment division recruits for mid-to-senior level technical and non-technical staff throughout multiple engineering industries.

“We also offer our clients other services such as executive and retained search, compensation and benefits studies and talent mapping. I am looking forward to seeing the positive impact that the Manchester office will have on our continued expansion into new markets.”

Joe Lanigan-Smith, a new appointment as senior recruitment consultant at the new Manchester office and who is developing Fircroft’s presence in the defence, aerospace and semiconductor industries, said: “It’s a fantastic time to be joining Fircroft and with a new city-centre office we’re ideally placed to prosper and grow.

“We’re focusing aggressively on using Fircroft’s scale and experience to enter into new technical and engineering markets and deliver the very best permanent recruitment solutions to our clients.”
