Recent client wins and ambitious expansion plans have led mobile technology company Apadmi to add 36 new members to its team in the past five months – and take on an additional office space at The Landing, in MediaCityUK, Salford.

More than 60% of the new recruits are developers, as well as two project managers and three digital designers, highlighting the breadth of accounts Apadmi has added to its portfolio in the past few months, and its need to bolster development teams.

Garry Partington, Apadmi’s chief executive, said: “It’s hard to remember sometimes that Apadmi started out as just four friends – now, 10 years on, we’ve just hit the big 100 in staff count, a milestone we didn’t even consider in 2009.

“A lot has changed in that time; more clients, larger projects, new technology – you have to be prepared for anything in this industry, which means we need to focus on investing in our staff and their team’s development. It’s never been a more exciting time for us – and it helps that Manchester is the place to be for technological innovation.”

With recent technology partnerships confirmed with the likes of Charles Stanley, Co-op Health, SailGP and HSS, as well as its own products currently in development, the Manchester-based team is still in the midst of a huge recruitment drive.

As part of that, it was delighted to take up a third Greater Manchester office space this month – at innovation and technology hub The Landing, based in the heart of MediaCityUK.

“The Landing is a really natural fit for us – MediaCityUK is the place to be for tech right now, anyway, with so many opportunities for sector disruptors,” said Partington.

“The Landing is packed with some of the most innovative start-ups and ideas in Manchester, and that restless attitude towards tech is exactly the kind of ethos we live by – they’re ideal neighbours for us.”

Landing business development manager James Summerton said: “We’re delighted to welcome Apadmi to The Landing and we know they’ll fit in perfectly as we continue to offer a unique place for digital SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups to work alongside large media and technology organisations.

“We’re confident that joining the community here at MediaCityUK is a great move for Apadmi as their team continues to develop, and we look forward to supporting them in the next phase of their exciting business growth journey.”

Aside from the 36 who have just joined, Apadmi is already looking forward to welcoming seven more starters by the end of September.

It is also currently recruiting for a further 20 vacancies in a breadth of positions across the business.

This news comes after Apadmi announced its new initiative with Northcoders, as the first Curriculum Partner for the Northern coder bootcamp.
