Plans unveiled for 55-home scheme in Blackburn

New homes for Blackburn

Housebuilder Miller Homes has announced it will be bringing 55 new homes to Blackburn with its new Millrose development located on Lammack Road.

Construction will begin on the development at the end of the year, the on-site sales centre will be launching at the end of April, with the first show homes expected to launch to the public in the Summer of 2020.

The business said the new development is ideal for local families, comprising a mixture of three- and four-bedroom detached homes. Millrose will boast a mix of traditional and contemporary homes to suit a variety of tastes, and all homes come with luxury interiors.

To further support the local community, Miller Homes will contribute more than £700,000 towards affordable housing in Blackburn as well as around £200,000 towards sports pitches for the local area.

Furthermore, the company will provide the nearby Lammack Methodist Church with a new car park, including three disabled parking spaces – previously those attending the Church shared an informal car park with a neighbouring Free House.

Finally, Miller Homes is dedicated to supporting local sports teams, with funds being provided to reimburse the costs of improved sports pitches for Lammack Juniors and Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School.

Norrh West sales director Clare Noakes said: “We are delighted to announce that we will be bringing much-needed new homes to Blackburn to meet the high demand.

“Millrose will provide the ideal location for house hunters looking to upgrade to enjoy a spacious and luxury home. We look forward to working closely with the town to bring this brand-new community to life.”
