United star’s clothing firm makes £200,000 loss in first year

A clothing firm set up by Manchester United footballer Jesse Lingard has made a loss of over £200,000 in its first year of trading – according to reports.
The 26-year-old United and England midfielder launched his JLingz brand in the summer of 2018.
The firm sells clothes and accessories such as hats, t-shirts, hoodies and jackets.
According to reports the company’s first set of accounts showed it made an initial loss of over £200,000 in its first 12 months.
Unaudited accounts submitted to Companies House show the business had a loss of £211,688.
The business, which has its offices in Reading, has only been selling products for the second half of the year.
At the time of the launch of the brand Lingard came under criticism from former footballers turned pundits for not concentrating on his playing career.
The launch of the business took place in the run up to a 3-1 defeat at United’s biggest rivals Liverpool.
Lingard has struggled to hold down a place in the team this year but came on as a substitute during this weekend’s victory at Norwich.
