Six by Nico opens for business in Liverpool city centre

The new Six by Nico Liverpool site

Scottish-Italian chef Nico Simeone has, this week, opened his second restaurant in England, as Six by Nico launched on Liverpool’s North John Street in the city centre.

Chef Nico and his team will completely re-invent their food offering every six weeks, serving a brand new six-course tasting menu, each one themed around a different place, memory or idea.

Drawing inspiration from both home and abroad, the thought-provoking menus will combine different ingredients, flavours, and dishes, to create a brand-new dining experience.

Foodies in Liverpool will be treated to a completely new six course menu every six weeks, at the new location, with the first concept themed around the local chip shop.

Nico Simeone said: “We’re very excited to open Six by Nico to the heart of Liverpool for all who live and work in the area, as well as those visiting from further afield.

“Six by Nico is a totally different dining experience, and I hope that people will leave having had an unforgettable meal. Liverpool has a thriving independent restaurant scene and we are delighted to now be a part of it.”

From creative menu concepts to outstanding food and service, the company says the venue is set to be an immediate hit with the people of Liverpool. More than 5,500 reservations have already been made in advance of doors opening today, Tuesday, November 12.

The 90-cover restaurant has its own bar area.

‘Six by Nico’ in Liverpool will be the sixth addition to the growing restaurant portfolio, with award-winning venues including ‘111 by Nico’ and ‘Six by Nico’ already well embedded in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Manchester’s restaurant scene.

The new North John Street restaurant, occupying the former La Vina tapas restaurant site, will be Simeone’s second in England, replicating the concept of his Six by Nico restaurants in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester and Belfast, and will be home to a series of carefully-curated and constantly-evolving menu concepts.

The concept was born in Glasgow in 2017 from a passion for experimenting with new ingredients and developing and creating unique dishes.

Manchester commercial law firm Kuits advised Six by Nico on the licence for the Liverpool restaurant.
