Housebuilding group unveils expansion plans for future growth

Anwyl Partnerships' senior team: Jonathan Hughes, Simon Rose, Tom Anwyl, Sam Oliver, Brent Davies.

The construction division of Anwyl Group is to rebrand as part of plans to roll-out across the North West, boost staff numbers and turnover and deliver around 500 affordable homes each year.

Based in Ewloe, near Chester, the business will be known as ‘Anwyl Partnerships’ to reflect the company’s changing strategic direction and wider business model.

Anwyl Partnerships plans to vastly increase turnover as a result of its recently-secured pipeline of work, delivering an estimated 500 affordable homes per annum
across the North West and North Wales within the division alone.

These plans will see the creation of approximately 20 jobs, while enabling expansion of the existing supply chain.

Tom Anwyl, managing director of Anwyl Partnerships, said: “Our business model has evolved, where we were once recognised as solely a construction company delivering schemes with our long established clients, we have grown to become a developer where we can provide an ‘end to end’ solution, sourcing land and securing planning permission before taking it to construction with our partners.

“This further adds value to what we can bring to our existing procurement frameworks.”

He added: “The term ‘partnering’ is incredibly important to us. Not only do we want to partner with clients, but also with our supply chain, professional partners, and more. This wider vision and ethos fits perfectly with our ‘thoughtful building’ approach.

“Our team are paramount to driving this change and expansion of our business. We remain focused on retaining the values and aspirations of the people within the organisation as we expand, whilst also placing importance on recruiting for the next generation in construction.”

He explained the drive to expand Anwyl’s geographical reach: “Undoubtedly, we have traditionally been recognised as a North Wales-based firm and we are proud to have collaborated with many of the housing associations to provide much-needed high-quality affordable living accommodation and extra-care facilities across the region.

“Now the time is right to roll this model out across the North West and partner with other housing associations and developers who are able to adopt this approach to help support and address their wider housing needs.”

Anwyl Partnerships forms part of the Anwyl Group. Established almost 90 years ago as a joinery contractor, the family-owned and managed Anwyl Group has gone from strength-to-strength over recent years cementing its position as one of North Wales and the North West’s fastest growing, privately-owned land, construction and housebuilding companies.
