Manchester’s Stock Exchange Hotel has been named as one of World’s Best New Luxury Hotels, just over a month after opening.

Luxury Travel Intelligence (LTI), a global, members-only organisation providing digital reporting for affluent travellers who wish to make informed travel decisions, included the hotel in its latest ranking of the world’s top luxury hotels.

LTI covers luxury hotels, restaurants, spas and nightlife in granular detail. It’s only revenues are from membership fees.

Announcing its 2019 list of the best 15 sites around the world, LTI placed the Stock Exchange Hotel at number 12.

It said: “Manchester has become a magnet for football fans and travellers seeking urban authenticity. And now, right in the heart of this vibrant city, is the new Stock Exchange Hotel, meticulously put together by two of the cities most respected football legends.

“With just 40 rooms and suites, plus a hot destination restaurant headed up by Tom Kerridge, this new property has already become Manchester’s ultimate luxury bolthole.”

Stock Exchange co-owner, Winston Zahra, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been included as one of the World’s Best New Luxury Hotels 2019 by the researchers Luxury Travel Intelligence.

“Out of all of the amazing hotels in the world, it is a true honour to be placed at number 12 and be one of four UK hotels in the list.”

The Stock Exchange Hotel, situated in Norfolk Street, is owned by former Manchester Unitdd footballers Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville and hotelier Winston Zahra.

Guests can pay £200 per night for a stay at the hotel, with the penthouse costing £1,750 per night.

The hotel features the Bull & Bear by restaurant which is being run by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, located in the grand domed room which was previously the trading floor of the Stock Exchange.

The Stock Exchange Hotel is a member of global hotel and restaurant fellowship, Relais & Châteaux, and is being managed and operated by Manchester based GG Hospitality.

The other UK hotels featured in the LTI rankings were: The Newt, in Somerset (11th), the Belmond Cadogan in London (9th) and Grantley Hall in Yorkshire (2nd).
