Residential developer Mulbury will start construction work later this month on 20 new homes in the village of Boothstown, Salford.

The detached and semi-detached homes, to be marketed for sale under the developer’s Mulbury Living brand, were granted planning consent by Salford City Council in December 2019.

The three- and four-bedroom homes are being built on a vacant brownfield site off Simpson Grove in the centre of Boothstown.

The development, to be known as Simpson Gardens, is scheduled to be completed in December 2020.

It is located within walking distance of the much-anticipated RHS Bridgewater, a new 154-acre park and gardens at Worsley Old Hall.

Glyn Fazackerley, construction manager at Mulbury, said: “This development will provide attractive family homes in a part of Salford where demand is high. We’ve already had significant interest from prospective purchases looking to buy off-plan.

“The new homes have a traditional appearance to complement existing properties.

“We will also be carrying out significant landscaping and improvements to a grassed area opposite the homes to create a small park and recreation space for local people to enjoy.”

He added: “Our aim is to create homes local communities can be proud of and we believe these properties will further improve the look and feel of this popular residential location in Boothstown.”

Mulbury will be the main contractor on the development using its in-house construction team. PWA Planning acted as planning consultant for the development, which was designed by GTD Architects.
