Construction teams will start returning to work at Prospect Homes sites from Monday, May 4, the homebuilder has announced.

The company, with its headquarters in Liverpool, has sites across the North West including Rose Gardens and Greenfields in Clitheroe, The Ridings in Longridge and Hall Drive Park in Alsager.

As part of a phased programme of restarting works, site managers will begin preparing for the return of construction teams from Monday, including installing additional safety signage.

Construction works will recommence on the developments with a reduced workforce and with additional safety measures in place from Wednesday.

Martin Caldwell, head of construction at Prospect Homes, said: “We closed our sites as a precautionary measure five weeks ago and have been working behind the scenes to ensure staff can make a safe return to work.

“The health and safety of our colleagues and customers is of utmost importance and in line with government and Construction Leadership Council (CLC) guidance we have introduced additional measures on site.

“For example, when construction teams return to work there will be restrictions on the number of people on site at any one time to enable social distancing.

“There will also be additional hand washing and sanitising stations, plus we will be carrying out cleaning more frequently.”

Prospect Homes is part of The Riverside Group, with 100% of the profits from the sale of Prospect homes reinvested back into Riverside to help support vulnerable members of the community.

When Prospect Homes developments closed, PPE from the construction sites were delivered to Riverside for use by those in customer-facing roles, including in supported housing and retirement developments.

An additional 200 pairs of gloves and 100 face masks were sourced by Prospect and gifted to Riverside.

Prospect staff were also made available to support the Riverside Group and its residents.

While construction teams are returning to site from Monday, sales teams are continuing to work remotely.
