Recreational axe-throwing business Hatchet Harry’s is looking to carve out a niche in Liverpool after agreeing a five-year lease on a city centre site.

The company has sites in Newcastle and Glasgow and will open its largest site yet at Peel’s Liverpool Waters development.

The King Edward Triangle site next to Princes Dock is already home to live escape game Clue Finders.

Jack Beadle, managing director at Hatchet Harry’s, said: “We have seen Liverpool’s visitor economy grow over the last few years so for us, it seemed a perfect fit. We are popular with stag and hen dos, so the city centre location means we will be within walking distance of night life and other leisure facilities, which is great.”

Car hire firm Easirent has also recently moved in, having relocated from Bootle to the city centre. The move brings it closer to both the cruise terminal and its headquarters at the Royal Liver Building. It has also taken a five-year lease for 3,400 sq ft.

Liza Marco, asset manager at Liverpool Waters, said the new tenants “demonstrate the versatility of the space”.

She added: “We are incredibly proud of the diverse range of businesses that we have across Liverpool Waters, all of whom are at different stages of growth.”
