New premises to fuel ‘super growth’ at sports nutrition brand
Applied Nutrition, which claims to be the UK’s fastest growing sports nutrition business, has signed a long-term lease to occupy a 45,000 sq ft facility in Knowsley to help it continue its impressive growth trajectory and increase employment in the Knowsley region.
The new premises on Acornfield Road, Knowsley, will be the new headquarters of Applied, complete with state-of-the-art production facilities, fully-racked food grade warehouse, and modern offices.
The company had previously operated from several smaller units in Knowsley, but due to growing 160% in fiscal years 2019 and 2020, the business secured the new facility to create more capacity to allow it to achieve its ambitious growth plans.
Having just finished its financial year on July 31, Applied is expecting revenue to double since 2019, with impressive profit margins of 40%.
However, the company says it is “only just getting started” and has set a new strategy which will see the business achieving potential sales of £40m within three years.
Applied Nutrition managing director, Thomas Ryder, said: “Over the past few years we have seen demand for our product range growing on a global scale.

The company is currently relocating from its existing premises into the new site and expects to be fully operational from October 2020.
