Icopal scores Stadium Point site

BUILDING products firm Icopal has taken a two-year lease on the 86,000 sq ft Stadium Point building in Trafford Park from owner Manchester United Ltd.

The company, which makes roofing products and waterproof membranes, is using the unit as additional storage space for its nearby UK headquarters at Barton Dock Road in Stretford.

Stadium Point is situated on a 5.5-acre site on Trafford Wharf Road.

Paul Nolan of property consultants Nolan Redshaw, which advised Manchester United on the letting, said: “There is a notable lack of supply of units of this size and quality available in Trafford Park.

“Despite this, the park continues to be one of Manchester’s key industrial areas.

“Indeed, since bringing the property to the market we have had plenty of interest and we are now delighted to have secured one of the largest industrial lettings in the North West this year.”
