Latest plans approved for luxury suburban apartment scheme

Liverpool-based architects Falconer Chester Hall have secured planning permission for a luxury apartment development in one of South Liverpool’s leafiest suburbs.

The four-storey development of 18 apartments on a large plot on Carnatic Road in Mossley Hill, designed by the Liverpool studio of Falconer Chester Hall for a North West development group, was approved at today’s planning hearing (November 4).

This supersedes the planning permission granted on October 29, 2019.

The development replaces a single dwelling on the site to make more efficient use of the large footprint.

The revised design includes an additional three apartments and one storey, the footprint has been pared down to reduce the front elevation.

The scheme incorporates basement car parking spaces, as well as provision for residents’ cycles.

Falconer Chester Hall has worked closely with Ascerta, landscape, arboricultural and ecological solutions, to redevelop the landscaping to maximise the aesthetic opportunities of the site and to increase the tree coverage to create privacy.

“It’s a confident, contemporary rendition of apartment living that uses the popular local palette of red sandstone,” said managing director, Adam Hall.

“The development retains a large front and rear garden space and sits well within the established setting. The use of large balconies brings the outdoors into each home and will be a popular feature.”

Other consultants on the scheme include Zerum – planning consultant, Ascerta – landscape design.
