Luxury apartment scheme in leafy Liverpool suburb gets planning green light

A luxury apartment development in one of South Liverpool’s leafiest suburbs has secured planning permission.
The development of 15 apartments on a large plot on Carnatic Road in Mossley Hill, designed by the Liverpool studio of Falconer Chester Hall for a local developer, was approved at today’s planning hearing, Tuesday, October 29.
The 30,000 sq ft development replaces an inter-war single dwelling on the site to make more efficient use of the large footprint, just 50 yards from the eastern boundary of the listed 235-acre Sefton Park.
“It’s a confident, contemporary rendition of apartment living that uses the popular local palette of red sandstone as a keynote design signature,” said project architect Martin Haymes.
“The development retains a large front and rear garden space and sits very well within the established, leafy setting.
“The use of large balconies brings the outdoors into each home and will be a popular feature.”
Zerum acted as planning consultant on the development, with landscape design by DEP.
The scheme incorporates 29 car parking spaces, as well as provision for residents’ cycles.
