Creative production agency Zút has entered a new phase as original founders, Alan Gaffney and Chris Holmes, both leave the business to set up new ventures, while remaining directors, Mark Hancock and Matt Thompson, take the helm after buying out Gaffney and Holmes.

In the past five years the Liverpool-based company has gone from strength to strength, growing turnover by 518%, posting sales of £2.16m in 2019.

The company has navigated through COVID and is set to grow again in 2020 through its strong list of clients.

The business produced its highest number of TV commercials in 2020, despite shoot restrictions created by the pandemic.

Zút’s 18-strong team consists of both creative and production specialists.

Managing Director Mark Hancock said: “Both myself and Matt, although sad to be parting ways with Alan and Chris after such a successful period of working together, are really excited about where we can take Zút next.

“We have worked hard to build strong relationships with our clients, developing real synergies and understanding with some of the North West’s leading businesses.

“Through our work, client base and results, we have shown that we can mix with the industry’s leaders in regards creative and have the production skills in house to execute the ideas we create.

“We know we are only as good as our last campaign or piece of content. This mentality has served us well over the years and we will move forward with the same level of intensity.”

He added: “We are really looking forward to adding to our talented team in 2021 to keep satisfying the demand we are generating and continue with the levels of growth we have been reaching each year.”

Zút’s clients include Liverpool Football Club, Betfred, Chester Racecourse and The English Football League.
