FIREM increases industrial estate presence to 40% with two-acre acquisition
Property and asset management company, FI Real Estate Management (FIREM), has expanded its extensive industrial portfolio with the acquisition of a multi-let, two-acre site on Wrexham Industrial Estate, for an undisclosed sum.
Already one of the largest names on the 550-hectare estate, FIREM’s latest addition will see a further 13 units introduced to the portfolio, totaling 21,000 sq ft of industrial property which is currently fully let and home to seven tenants.
This will bring FIREM’s total coverage of the estate to approximately 40%.
A FIREM spokesperson said: “With a strong presence on the estate already, we hope this acquisition will further cement our relationships with our occupiers and support our objective in offering a wide variety of property to suit the needs of all businesses, big and small.”
The latest acquisition also comes as FIREM confirms a five-year let of a 10,032 sq ft unit on Clywedog Road to Gorton Brothers, from an enquiry generated through local agents, BA Commercial.
Established in 2019, the storage and haulage specialist was in need of larger premises following a recent contract signing with the NHS. With existing customers already on the estate, Gorton Brothers’ director Lee Gorton feels the location on Clywedog Road is the perfect fit: “We are extremely pleased to have been able to secure a unit on Wrexham Industrial Estate, which will help us to improve our current service to our existing and future clients.

To ensure FIREM is able to continue meeting the demand for quality property in the region, the asset manager is also under way with extensive plans to introduce a brand new scheme of developments to the Wrexham estate, which is expected to bring an additional economic boost to the area.
A planning decision is expected by early Summer.
Wrexham Industrial Estate is within FIREM’s extensive UK industrial portfolio, which currently totals close to five million sq ft with a further circa two million sq ft of new-build in the pipeline.
Available spaces start from 500 sq ft to more imposing units of 80,000 sq ft.
