Green energy company supporting local community with 30+ apprenticeship roles

Green energy specialist ESE Group is creating more than 30 apprenticeship posts at its Speke head office.

Vacancies cover a range of functions, including customer service and business admin.

The group is one of Britain’s largest suppliers of green energy solutions, working with an extensive portfolio of domestic clients and corporate organisations.

After a period of successful growth, ESE is looking to give back to the community by hiring apprentices of all ages.

Chief executive and founder, Gary Fredson, said: “Renewable energy is an ever-changing industry and we’re really excited about what the future holds.

“We’re in a really fortunate position as a business to be able to give something back to the local community, and because of our recent success, we want to give people a chance to join the growing green revolution that’s currently happening in our country.

“We’re all about giving people a chance, giving them the opportunity to do something different, and learn something new.

“I’m really pleased to announce the launch of our brand new apprenticeship scheme that’s open for applications now. People of any age can apply and we’re excited to welcome new faces to the team.”

Candidates will be supported every step of the way by St Helens Chamber which is providing the apprenticeship training and pre-employment programmes.

The chamber said it can support applicants to have the best possible chances of success through pre-employment training which will ensure that candidates have all the job-specific skills they need to apply, alongside ensuring their CV is up to date and their interview skills are strong.

Applicants will be matched to a suitable vacancy and will have the opportunity to meet the ESE team and find out more about the role.

Even if applicants don’t secure a suitable role with ESE, they can continue to work with St Helens Chamber’s National Careers Service team to find employment.

Laura Brogden, head of career development at St Helens Chamber, said: “We are excited to be working with ESE, and look forward to supporting local people into these fantastic apprenticeship opportunities.

“Particularly through these difficult times, it’s fantastic to see local businesses investing in their community and expanding their workforce.

“We look forward to supporting these apprentices through their training and watching their careers develop.”

Laura added: “ESE Group are keen to hire people from all walks of life, so we would encourage anyone who wants to find out more to get in touch. These are really unique opportunities with a fantastic company.”
