New jobs as Liverpool tech firm SysGroup opens Manchester base
Fast growing Liverpool headquartered cloud hosting provider SysGroup has announced the opening of a Manchester office creating 10 new roles.
SysGroup will take a suite on the fifth floor of 55 Spring Gardens, located in the heart of the City Centre, which will become the group’s sales and marketing hub.
The move will see the firm create up to 10 new roles in the region in the first 12 months, with plans to create a further 20 roles in the next three years.
Equipped with the latest video conferencing tech and Zoom booths, the new office space will be a mix of collaborative and flexible areas, with more than 40 per cent of the suite dedicated to ‘chilled’ working spaces to create a home-from-home feel.
The 125-strong AIM-listed group has several bases around the UK, including its Liverpool headquarters as well as offices in London, Newport and Telford.
It offers flexible IT solutions to a growing list of customers across sectors including financial services, insurance, retail, technology, not-for-profit, education and healthcare. Current clients include TJ Morris (trading as Home Bargains), Admiral and Confused.com.
SysGroup has scaled significantly in recent years under the leadership of CEO Adam Binks, with an 86 per cent jump in revenue to circa £19.5m during that time.
The company’s strategy has been a combination of organic and acquisitive growth, with a number of significant acquisitions in recent years, including the £9m purchase of Certus IT in February 2019 to aid expansion into South Wales and Hub Network Services for £1.45m in June 2019, which provides a wide range of enterprise-grade managed connectivity services for clients.
It also acquired Telford-based Rockford IT in 2018, significantly enhancing its capabilities in delivering managed security solutions.
Adam Binks, CEO of SysGroup, said: “This is an extremely exciting move for us and the obvious next step in our growth journey.
“While our roots are in Liverpool, we have a huge client base across the whole of the UK, which has increased significantly in the last 12 months as the dependency on IT services became even more critical.
“We are now keen to expand further in the region geographically to meet that growing demand from new and existing clients, while also opening ourselves up to the exceptional talent pool in Manchester.”
He added: “With the impending ‘return to the office’ comes opportunity, so it was important that we found a space that allowed for a collaborative ‘home-from-home’ environment.
“Spring Gardens is the perfect location for our people to thrive, while also providing the flexibility for SysGroup to meet its ambitious growth plans in the months and years ahead.”
