Flurry of interest in central Manchester office scheme

Spring Gardens

Manchester’s Spring Gardens joined the Northspring portfolio last month and has since seen a flurry of interest in the last remaining suites with two getting snapped up and one currently under offer.

Workspace Design and Build, an interior fit-out company took 1,489 sq ft and moved this month. The company is familiar with the property having delivered the interior fit-out for the scheme in 2019.

Managing director, Russell Davis, said: “Northspring has everything we want from an office space, centrally located with great amenities for our staff, like the roof terrace and basement gym. It’s also great for us to be able to showcase our work when clients visit, the space is super stylish.”

Global estate agency, Settio, has also chosen Northspring, for its UK head office.

Taking just over 1,500 sq ft on the second floor, co-founder, Sam Fitz-Hugh, said: “We chose Northspring as we have lots of visitors to our office and feel the style and quality is very much in line with our brand compared to competitors. We looked at several other properties but really like the style of Spring Gardens.”

He added: “Having been at WeWork previously, we really wanted our own private space, and the gym and roof terrace add a lot of value for our team.”

Northspring offers small, private office space with luxury amenities. At Spring Gardens there’s a spacious roof terrace, ground floor business lounge, which occupiers can use for hotdesking, informal or formal meetings, and a basement gym and fitness suite.

Amelia Barratt, director at Sixteen Real Estate, said: “We’ve seen a lot of businesses looking for this type of quality office space in the city centre recently. Despite lockdown, Northspring has continued to attract companies and it’s great to see the building nearly full.”

Sixteen and Avison Young are joint agents for Northspring, Manchester.
