Car finance provider Zuto is seeking 100 staff due to the soaring used car market

Since January 2021, Manchester-based car finance company has hired more than 150 new staff. With interest in the second-hand car market soaring, compared with pre-pandemic levels, Zuto plans to hire a further 100 by the end of the year to meet growing demand.

The new hires will be based in the Manchester and Macclesfield offices.

Zuto also launched its sales graduate programme this year and said it is proud to have recruited 35 graduates so far in 2021, with plans to hire more throughout the rest of this year.

Andrew Fisher, head of recruitment at Zuto, said: “The recruitment market in the North West is the most competitive I’ve known it.

“Launching our sales graduate programme has helped us navigate those challenges and continue to grow our team with talented, ambitious individuals.”

To help nurture the team, Zuto has also invested in its training and development department to put more time and emphasis on training the best talent in the North West.

Andrew added: “With over 60% of our management team being promoted within, training and development has always been at the forefront of what we do. Investing even more in this area allows us to be confident in ramping up our graduate programme.”

Chief executive, James Wilkinson, said: “It has been an exciting year for Zuto and we are really happy to welcome all our new Zutonites to the business, particularly our graduates, many of whom are taking their first step into the professional world.

“We are excited to continue hiring great talent in the North West to really help us accelerate our growth, and look forward to celebrating many more milestones.”
