Fast-growing business rates reduction specialist, RVA Surveyors, has doubled its workforce in the past four months, taking its headcount from 50 to 100, with plans for a similar recruitment drive next year.

Earlier this year, RVA launched a substantial recruitment drive that will see the family-owned business triple its workforce in the next 12 months.

The business has already exceeded its end of year target and employed 50 new staff across field sales, telesales, operations, audit, surveying, data administrator and various management roles.

The recruitment drive includes the senior appointment of Clare Whitfield, as head of surveying and pperations, who’s key objective is to support RVA’s continued business growth.

Dan Goodier has also joined the business as business development manager. Dan’s remit is to drive RVA’s long term growth ambitions by expanding the team of property advisors in the field to keep up with the rise in demand for business rates reduction services.

A further 50 positions are set to become available in the coming months as RVA seeks to increase its headcount to 150 by next summer.

Anthony Hughes, managing director, said: “We’re delighted to have exceeded our employment targets and our continued recruitment drive underpins our commitment to drive down business rates liabilities on behalf of our clients.

“We are experiencing an increasing demand from UK businesses looking for support with their business rates, and our recruitment strategy aligns with meeting this growing need for our services.

“Over the coming months we will continue to seek professionals who can join our talented team and support our expanding client roster.”

The majority of roles will be based at the specialist’s Manchester office in Denton, but will have a UK-wide reach, as the company strives to help businesses across the country reduce their property’s business rates liability.

The business said it is also seeking a number of field-based freelance property consultants in its key growth regions, including Yorkshire and the North East, Home Counties, North West London, South West and Wales.
