This week has seen Ryanair commence flights to five new destinations from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) as the airline starts its wnter 2021/22 schedule and continues the airport’s post-COVID recovery, offering the region’s travellers a wider choice of destinations from Liverpool.

Ryanair has launched new twice-weekly services to Milan Bergamo in Italy, Paris Beauvais in France, Stockholm Arlanda in Sweden, Tallinn in Estonia and Sibiu in Romania.

These new direct flights and the recent relaxing of travel restrictions with the move to cheaper lateral flow COVID tests for passengers, gives travellers from across the North West and North Wales the opportunity to travel from Liverpool to a mix of destinations for leisure, or to see friends and family that they may not have seen for months.

Robin Tudor, Liverpool John Lennon Airport’s head of PR, said: “We’re delighted to see Ryanair continue to capitalise on the opportunities available from Liverpool and further grow their business here.

“Ryanair continue to demonstrate their commitment to Liverpool and to passengers from across the North West and North Wales who can take advantage of the convenience of flying from Liverpool and jet off to a growing range of destinations as we continue to recover from the COVID pandemic.”

The latest routes bring Ryanair’s total number of destinations from LJLA to 35, including some which can be booked for summer 2022.
