Deals latest: Weightmans;  Shipley IP
THE Manchester office of Liverpool-based law firm Weightmans has advised drinks brand Slush Puppie Limited on its acquisition of Frutina.

THE Manchester office of Liverpool-based law firm  Weightmans has advised drinks brand Slush Puppie Limited on its acquisition of Frutina.

Corporate partner Sarah Walton led a team including IP partner Clare Sellars, real estate associate Paul Fleming, employment solicitor Claire Hollins, pensions specialist Roderick Ramage and corporate paralegal Seray Kitchingman.

The acquisition of London-based Frutina is the latest in a series of acquisitions made by Slush Puppie, including the acquisition of Britvic’s ‘Tango Ice Blast’ brand and Quench Dispensers.

Sarah said “Slush Puppie is a popular and well known brand in Europe and this latest acquisition will ensure it maintains number one position in what is becoming a highly competitive market.”

LAW firm Shipley IP advised AIM-listed digital media firm Milestone Group on its £600,000 acquisition of design studio Oil Productions.

Set-up in 1998, Oil has an established client list including Channel 4 and the BBC.  It also developed the interaction design and technology for the ‘Fallen Angel’ advertising campaign for Lynx deodorant.
