Pension advisory firm acquired in £3.75m deal

A Manchester advisory firm specialising in pension schemes has been snapped up by AIM listed XPS Pensions Group for £3.75m.

Michael J Field Consulting Actuaries is a long-established firm advising on all aspects of small self-administered pension schemes (SSASs) and self-invested personal pension schemes (SIPPs).

Turnover for the year to  31 March 2021 was £1.9m and EBITDA was £400,000.

The acquisition will add to XPS’s existing capabilities and will enable XPS, one of the largest pure pensions consultancy in the UK, to expand the reach of its offering of to a wider base of clients and financial advisers.

The transaction is expected to complete in February 2022.
