Digital agency on course to break £1m turnover barrier

The BGN team

Manchester brand-led design and digital agency, BGN, says it is on track to achieve £1m in revenues by the end of its next financial year.

BGN was founded in 2017.

In 2020, BGN’s turnover was £415,000 with an 11% net profit. This grew to £581,000 and 23% net profit in 2021, and this year turnover is set to be £800,000 and a 25% net profit, which has led to expectations that revenues will hit £1m, with a net profit closer to 30%, by the end of the 2022/23 financial year.

Since the start of 2021, the agency – which was established by co-founders Paul Bailey, Antonio Giansante and David Newton – has almost doubled its headcount to 10 and plans to appoint a further four people over the coming months.

The new appointments have been across the design, development, motion and account management teams.

In addition to its existing client roster, which includes the likes of Carlsberg, Onken, P&G and Rustlers, BGN has also won a string of new high profile clients including North Highland, Fasthosts, Gnatta, Loal and Slumberdown.

The firm has also recently relocated to One Express in Ancoats after being based at Neo for the previous three years.

The move was in preparation for its next phase of growth and provides enough space for the planned team expansion and delivers the option of additional flexible working capabilities if needed.

Managing director, Antonio Giansante, said: “Like so many other businesses, COVID was a shock, but instead of shying away our team stood up and saw it as an opportunity to really deliver value to our clients.”
