In a boost for Manchester Airport today, Air Canada has announced that it will resume its non-stop seasonal service to Toronto.

The link will operate between the two cities five times a week, from June 1, to September 30, 2022.

Stephen Gerrard, Air Canada general manager sales UK and Ireland, said: “This is very exciting news for our customers in Manchester who can start planning their next trip to rediscover Canada.

“Our non-stop flight between Manchester and Toronto will provide our customers in the North West of England with a direct link to Canada and beyond. We look forward to welcoming our customers back on board.”

Ian Costigan, interim managing director at Manchester Airport, said: “We are thrilled to see Air Canada return to Manchester Airport as we play our part in reconnecting our region with the world.

“The service to Toronto is fantastic news for companies large and small across the North who do business with Canada, and also for tourism and those visiting friends and family. It is also great to see the carrier return with its mainline service, offering a high quality product with both business and premium economy classes.”

Air Canada will use Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the route, which can seat 297 passengers.

They will offer a choice of three classes of service: Air Canada Signature Class, which features lie-flat seating; Premium Economy; and Economy.
