Real estate firm asked back to continue Hanover House refurbishment

Refurb work within Hanover House

Manchester real estate firm, OBI, has been appointed to complete a series of refurbishments on Hanover House, in the city.

Having completing the fourth floor works in 2021, OBI has been instructed to complete Category A and Category B refurbishments to deliver a fully fitted and furnished workspace on the ground, second and fifth floors.

This equates to 6,047 sq ft of workspace over three suites.

In addition, OBI will be involved in the delivery of installing high-spec showers, lockers, and drying facilities in the basement to increase the building amenity.

Ollie Chadwick, from OBI, said: “We had great feedback from the client in 2021 with the fourth floor, which was under offer within three months after its completion, so it seemed natural for us to continue on the development of the building and provide refurbishment works across another three floors.”

He added: “We’ve also obtained planning consent for the installation of a new doorway to the façade which will eventually lead into an internal corridor with a platform lift for wheelchair access, making the building more accessible. It’s a great project to work on that allows us to utilise a number of our expertise, including project management, design and cost consultancy.”

Mickey Fiori, from Real Estate Investment Management, said: “Following the recent success at Hanover House, we have continued to focus our investment on the occupier experience. We have already started to see interest in the available workspace being delivered, which is a testament to the high quality product.”

Hanover House, a six-storey building, asset managed by Real Estate Investment Management, is located on Charlotte Street in Manchester’s city centre, a five minute walk from both Piccadilly Station and Victoria Station and in the heart of the city’s traditional central business district.

OBI and Colliers are the leasing agents for the available workspace.

The building currently houses Everythingtech, Pick Everard and Ten Insurance, among others.
