Acquisition forms foundation of new Salford-based group
A Salford furniture business, that was recently acquired, is part of a new entity involving four different organisations.
First Install was bought out by Ipswich-based Apex Joinery in June this year, for an undisclosed sum.
It is now part of First Interior’s Group, based in Salford, following First Install’s acquisition of Leighton Buzzard-based MBS Workplace Environments, for an undisclosed sum.
First Interior’s Group comprises First Install, its sister company Specialist Interiors Division, Apex Joinery, and MBS Workplace Environments.
The new entity currently employs 58 staff, with a view to recruit 20 more in the coming year.
Total turnover is forecast to reach £7m.
A family business with more than 20 years’ industry experience, MBS Workplace Environments supplies furniture to all sectors, including retail, hospitality, offices and schools, as well as furniture installation and interior fit out.
