Applied Nutrition opens its first international office in Dallas

Liverpool-based sports nutrition business, Applied Nutrition, has opened its first international office, in Dallas, Texas.

The company, which this week announced UFC superstar Molly McCann as its brand ambassador, is targeting the world’s largest sports nutrition market, worth an estimated $19bn a year.

Since launching in 2014, Applied Nutrition has enjoyed rapid growth, expanding year on year to reach sales of more than £35m, and claims to be the UK’s fastest growing active nutrition brand.

In under eight years, Applied Nutrition has gone from a single product offering to more than 200 products sold in 60 countries across the world.

The company caters to consumers participating in multiple sports, as well as offering nutrition that supports wellbeing and healthy living.

It formulates and manufactures its products at its Liverpool facility.

Its new American business will be led by TJ Humphreys. TJ has worked in sports nutrition for more than 30 years and is well known in the industry. TJ has been responsible for growing several successful international nutrition brands and bringing to market a vast back catalogue of products that have been key in driving the category forward.

Applied Nutrition is planning to launch in America with its ABE family of products that includes ABE pre-workout powder and ABE carbonated Energy and Performance can, the company’s most successful products and Europe’s best selling pre-workout.

The company will follow the launch with the introduction of more products from its range over the next 12 months.
