US expansion for Manchester tech start-up after $500,000 funding boost

A Manchester start-up which provides the development and maintenance of software products for business and enterprise use, has been boosted by $500,000 funding.

Versori secured the funds from Y-Combinator, the global accelerator known for early stage investments into well-known tech brands including AirBnB, Stripe, Reddit and Coinbase.

The investment will be used for Versori’s integration, automation and data transformation platform, Switchboard.

The investment is part of the new deal offered by Y-Combinator to innovative and future thinking start-ups.

The funding comes at a time for Versori as they target large commercial growth going into 2023 including growing its client base in both the UK and USA  after an R&D intensive 2022.

Founded in January, the tech firm has been building enterprise grade integration solutions for the last 10 months.

Switchboard enables users to build and maintain any-to-any system integrations enabling  automated workflows, data mappings and transformations, alongside monitoring and security features.

Co-founder and CEO Sean Brown will now be based in the US where he will focus on building the commercial team while the engineering and product team will remain in the UK under the leadership of co-founder Dan Jones.

Sean Brown said: “It’s been fantastic to be selected over 10,000 companies that have applied for YC.

“It’s testament to the amazing work our team have produced over the last year. Building a true any-to-any integration platform has been a feat of engineering and we are super happy that Y-Combinator have picked up on that!”
