FM group awarded three-year contract for Runcorn Shopping City

Full-service property services provider, Momentum Group, has clinched an extended contract to maintain and manage Runcorn Shopping City.
The Liverpool-based business has worked with the retail centre for several years and has been awarded a three-year Mechanical & Electrical maintenance contract to ensure the building is running safely, efficiently and is compliant.
Momentum FM will be responsible for many of the planned and reactive works that occur within the shopping centre, attending each week to carry out multiple activities across the centre.
Runcorn Shopping City, in the heart of the town, opened in 1972 and currently welcomes more than 70,000 visitors per week.
The centre is home to a number of well known retail names and smaller independents while also offering various community services such as an NHS Outpatient Service, one of the first in the UK to do so.
Centre manager, Dave Pearman, welcomed the new contract, saying: “We share the same values in keeping buildings well maintained, safe and compliant through proactive and reactive maintenance.
“With our combined experiences we look forward to continuing to welcome visitors to Runcorn Shopping City so they can work, shop and stay healthy.”
Karl Clawley, associate director at Momentum FM, said: “Throughout Momentum’s team there is extensive experience of managing shopping centres to ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes and that customers can have an enjoyable and safe experience.
“Our job is not only to maintain Runcorn Shopping City’s mechanical and electrical systems, but also to ensure compliance and the building’s fabric is kept in good condition to keep the centre looking at its best.
“We already have a strong working relationship with the centre’s management team and we are looking forward to helping them grow its reputation as a shopping destination of choice.”
