Legal Awards to support We Love MCR charity
Manchester Legal Awards has partnered with Manchester-based charity, We Love MCR, for this year’s awards.
Taking place on Thursday 8th June, the Manchester Legal Awards are designed to honour successful individuals, celebrate amazing work and stimulate even more brilliance across the legal industry in our city.
This year, the Manchester Law Society, which organises the awards, has teamed up with We Love MCR.
Founded in 1997, We Love MCR is the only charity dedicated to supporting the city of Manchester’s communities and young people to improve lives in their neighbourhoods.
The local charity supports ambitious, disadvantaged young Mancunians to take the step to success through their Manchester’s Rising Stars Fund (MRSF).
Fran Eccles-Bech, chief executive of the Manchester Law Society, said: “We know that Manchester is home to some of the brightest young minds, and We Love MCR’s noble mission of giving hope and opportunities to our young people is something we stand by. Manchester’s legal community is always generous in giving to our charity partners and I’m sure we’ll once again, raise lots of money on the awards night.
“As a powerful legal community, we want to give something back to the people of Manchester and help We Love MCR’s work with some of the most vulnerable people and most ambitious communities to help them write Manchester’s next chapter.
“We are proud to be associated with such a wonderful charity whose work in supporting and inspiring Mancunians, in empowering stronger communities and in giving young Mancunians a helping hand to take opportunities that may otherwise be out of their reach, is inspirational.”
The awards process culminates in a black-tie ceremony at The Midland Hotel on Thursday, 8th June with last year’s event attracting more than 650 attendees.
All proceeds on the awards night will go towards supporting We Love MCR Charity.
