Property services firm doubles HQ space following strong growth

One Temple Square

Momentum Group, the Liverpool-based property services company, has doubled its workspace in the heart of Liverpool’s Business District.

It now occupies the entire first floor of Grade II-listed building, One Temple Square, after winning numerous projects and growing its team from 25 people to 48 in the past year.

The 1,800 sq ft extra space on Dale Street will support Momentum’s burgeoning construction and project management divisions.

The group, founded by Chris Bliss, former estates director at Liverpool One, and Chris Renshaw, former senior retail delivery manager at Heathrow, has, in the past year, racked up new commissions.

These include the fit-out and delivery of the 100,000 sq ft Gravity Active Entertainment venue in Liverpool’s former Debenham’s store, the fit-out and project management of the ground-breaking Urban Playground at Manchester Arndale, and the fit-out and delivery of Liverpool’s first esports venue, Level Tap in Liverpool One.

There have also been significant property management instructions for Aviation House in Speke and for Bramley House in Guildford, as well as for the facilities management division, including for Liverpool landmark, Oriel Chambers in Water Street, and Runcorn Shopping Centre.

Momentum’s client list includes Grosvenor, Redevco, Queensbury, Yakel, Schroders and Appreciate Group.

Chris Renshaw said: “These are exciting times for us and this is a key milestone in the business trajectory of The Momentum Group as we approach another with our fifth birthday later in the year. We have been appointed on some big projects in the last 12 months with more to announce soon.

“Doubling our office footprint not only gives us the space we need for our current and future growth, but also this high quality office space in the heart of the city will help us to continue to attract and retain talent, as well as improve our client and meeting areas.”

Chris Bliss said: “Our expansion, on the one hand, reflects the rapid success of The Momentum Group, and on the other paves the way for more growth.

“There was no need for us to look for a new base, given the space available here in a wonderful building that has long been an architectural landmark on Dale Street and for which we already provide facilities management.

“Having the right working environment for our staff is pivotal to our future success and it’s paramount that all of our people enjoy and feel supported when at work, can collaborate across divisions and help us grow further.”
