A fourth acquisition in 12 months has been completed by Accrington-based CMAC Group.

The managed ground transport and accommodation specialist has acquired Netherlands-based Airline Services & Accommodation Partner (AS & AP) for an undisclosed sum.

The deal will drive further value for CMAC’s airline clients across Europe and beyond, as it continues to deliver against its strategy through both organic and acquisition strategies.

CMAC Group offers airline services that protects client brands and enhances their travellers’ experience during flight disruptions such as delays, diversion and cancellations, as well as safely moving airline crew.

The firm, with offices in the UK, Spain, Greece, Portugal, and now The Netherlands, handle both pre-planned and alternative transport and re-accommodation and says it is market leader when disruption strikes. It supports partners during severe weather events, strike action, natural disasters and technical/operational problems.

AS & AP supports more than 40 airline partners across three Netherlands airports, including the country’s main international airport, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. It seamlessly re-accommodates disrupted passengers and crew, and each year books more than 25,000 room nights.

Wim Kanon, founder and managing director of Airline Services & Accommodation Partner, said: “This move represents an exciting opportunity for AS & AP to expand its reach and capabilities and drive further value for clients and hotel partners, many of whom I’ve worked with for over 14 years.

“I look forward to working with CMAC’s team and believe that the combined strengths of our two companies will create a powerful force in the market.”

Peter Slater, CEO of CMAC Group, said: “We’re pleased to welcome AS & AP into the CMAC Group. This strategic move aligns with our vision for growth and further strengthens our proposition for airline clients.”
