Come to our summer barbecue – Randel Bryan from Factory International is speaking

Come along to our annual summer barbecue, Thursday the 3rd of August, where great connections, delicious food, and inspiring conversations come together.

We will be joined by guest speaker Randel Bryan, the executive director at Factory International, the landmark new cultural space in the heart of Manchester.

Randel has been a key part of the team that has created the world-class cultural space which is burnishing Manchester’s reputation as a global destination for arts, music and culture.

He will share his plans and ambitions, and explain the impact it is expected to deliver, including the incredible sponsorship deal with Aviva.

Operated by the team behind Manchester International Festival (MIF), The Factory will be a global destination for arts, music and culture, commissioning and present a year-round programme of extraordinary, ground breaking and interdisciplinary work by leading artists.

Its development is being led by Manchester City Council, with backing from HM Government and Arts Council England.

Aiming to attract up to 850,000 visitors annually, The Factory will add £1.1bn to the economy over a decade and create 1,500 direct and indirect jobs.

Located in the new St John’s neighbourhood next to the River Irwell, The Factory is at the heart of a burgeoning city centre hub for culture, creativity and digital innovation.

With a background in media and technology, Randel Bryan has pioneered commercial, event and content strategies for some of the world’s leading studios. These include Universal Pictures, Endemol Shine and most recently Discovery Education, where he led the Global Partnerships team, delivering world-class social responsibility campaigns for the likes of Nike and Rolls-Royce.
