Fledgling digital agency relocates to new city centre HQ

Jactin House

Manchester digital agency, Dark Matter Commerce, has moved into new headquarters.

Edwards & Co has acquired a new Manchester base for the national ranking business, which has relocated from Exchange Street to serviced office operator Colony, situated on the third floor of Jactin House on Hood Street, Ancoats, having agreed a two-year lease for 45 desk spaces.

After a comprehensive market search, Edwards & Co agreed a lease on the new office which benefits from communal facilities, including numerous collaboration zones, presentation area and a roof terrace.

Dark Matter Commerce was originally created in 2021 when Space 48 received backing from private equity investor, Foresight.

Since then, the company has acquired Brave the Skies in 2022 and most recently, Bring Digital, to sit alongside Space 48 under the Dark Matter Commerce umbrella.

With a £12.5m turnover and more than 170 staff, the three unified agencies will work in partnership from their new Ancoats base, while maintaining their own brand, identity and specialisms.

Oliver Woodall, associate director at Edwards & Co, said: “Following a considerable search process, we identified Colony at Jactin House as the perfect option for Dark Matter Commerce.

“We were keen find a flexible working solution that suited the culture of the company and provided them with a platform for sustainable growth going forward.”
