Fast-expanding coffee chain reveals opening date for its second Liverpool site

Expanding coffee chain, 200 Degrees, will open its newest site, in Liverpool’s Bold Street, this weekend.

The Nottingham-based coffee roaster announced plans for its 21st site two months ago.

Now, it has confirmed that the store, situated in the iconic Liverpool street renowned for its rich mix of independent food and drink outlets, will open for business on Saturday, November 11

The investment follows the success of the chain’s first shop in Liverpool, in the Metquarter.

Tom Rainey, general manager of the new Liverpool shop, said he is looking forward to serving the community when it opens: “We’ve been preparing the shop and the new team for several weeks now, and it’s been amazing to see it all come together so quickly.

“We’ve already made friends with our neighbours and had some really positive comments, and we can’t wait to be part of the community here.”

He added: “We’re situated below Bundobust and they’ve already told us they’re really excited to have us open downstairs so they don’t have to go far for great coffee.”

The shop is set to open at 9am and the first 200 customers will receive a coffee on the house, with the first 50 getting goody bags, featuring an exclusive design that nods to Liverpool’s heritage.

Two of those bags will contain either a Gold or Silver ticket, and the holders will take home either a Sage Barista Express machine, or an Opal Pod machine. Other prizes include a free three-month coffee subscription, and a free barista course.
