£6m asking price for Manchester’s most expensive apartment

W Hotel and Residences

Manchester’s most expensive apartment has been put on the market, priced at £6m.

It is being marketed by Savills and is part of Gary Neville’s Relentless Developments’ and Salboy’s £400m St Michael’s scheme, which is due for completion in 2027.

Last month it was revealed that the luxury hotel at the centre of the scheme will be W Hotels and W Residences, as part of a major deal struck between parent company Marriott International and Relentless Developments.

W Manchester will fuse exceptional private apartments serviced by the W Hotel.

Interiors designed by internationally renowned London based Bowler James Brindley (behind W Sydney, Bishops Avenue and One Crowne Place) the development offers only 217 highly curated residences from the 17th to the 43rd floor, many of which benefit from private balconies and aspects of Manchester’s most famous landmarks.

Savills said residents at W Manchester will enjoy 5* hotel amenity provisions that will be unrivalled in the city including a Director of Residences and a gold standard accredited concierge team, health and W Wellness suite, private residents lounge and additionally a selection of separate al la carte services including in-residence room service, housekeeping and coveted platinum membership of the Marriott Bonvoy global rewards programme, all part of W’s promise to deliver ‘Whatever, Whenever’.

Prices at W Manchester, The Residence, start from £350,000, up to £6m.

The Residences, said Savills, will set a new standard of specification and finish for Manchester, painstakingly designed to maximise light and space and offering an elevated standard specification to meet W Residences’ high end global brand standards.

Highlights include full climate control to all properties, Poggenpohl designer kitchens with integrated Siemens, or similar, appliances, engineered timber plank flooring to all rooms with wet areas finished with high end ceramic tiling and fitted vanity units with quartz surrounds.

These are the first regional branded residences in the UK, and Savills property agent, Jamie Adam said: “No task too small, no ask too big. From housekeeping to hairdressing, a cold drink or the best table at the last minute the Whatever/Whenever service is there to make it happen. Your 5*concierge is available 24/7/365.”

Gary Neville, director, Relentless Developments, said: “W Hotel and W Residences are going to put the distinctive 41-storey tower that is No.2 St Michael’s on the global map.

“There is no better home for W Hotel in the North of England than Manchester. This is a bold city which continues to defy expectations and which embodies the same values of originality and passion that have made the W Hotel experience world-renowned.

“Situated alongside this, W Residences Manchester will be immersive, design-forward homes that will set a new standard in hotel-inspired living and massively raise the bar for city centre home ownership.

“I’d like to thank Marriott International and our developer partner, Salboy, for seeing the potential in this scheme and remaining committed to our vision.”
