Tech recruitment group moves into new global HQ in Manchester

The Globe Building

International tech recruitment agency, Venturi, has taken 3,460 sq ft of space in Manchester, where it will base 50 staff at its new global HQ.

The move from its former Wilmslow site into the Globe & Simpson Building, in the Enterprise City tech, media and creative cluster, will enable plans for further growth.

Venturi connects outstanding talent with world leading companies. It has locations in New York and Dusseldorf, but has made Manchester city centre its home, and has plans to support enterprise, scaling and start-up businesses in building world class teams.

Enterprise City is home to a 3,000+ workforce at businesses such as Booking.com, WPP, Cloud Imperium Games, VERSA Studios and Peak.AI.

Level, the workspace advice specialist, secured the deal as part of its work to match tenants with their ideal workspace.

Venturi’s space will enable it to work flexibly and meet clients and candidates in the city.

The Globe Building is also home to WPP’s Manchester Campus, a place where eight of its Manchester-based agencies co-exist and collaborate across multiple floors, as part of its ambitious vision to create a Northern creative powerhouse.

Tanya Grady, commercial director at All Work & Social, said: “World beating tech businesses need world class talent, and Venturi is a business that is experienced in placing high performing people and creating top class teams for future growth.

“As we build a community of businesses big and small at Enterprise City, it’s important that we also introduce organisations that will support them on their missions to lead and grow their respective sectors.”

Brad Lamb, CEO and founder of Venturi, said: “This is the next natural step in Venturi’s growth as we look to scale with the city’s tech and IT industries.

“We want to be on the doorstep of the region’s top tech businesses so we can better serve them and understand their ever-changing staffing requirements – this move allows us to do just that.

“Hiring the right people is paramount to the overall success of a company. Being part of the Enterprise City ecosystem gives us and our clients a competitive advantage as we’re able to support them at speed, and with a deeper understanding of their businesses.”

Joe Averill, founder of Level, said: “Venturi is an ambitious business with exciting plans for exponential growth so it needed a space that could adapt with them in the years to come.

“In addition, they required a location that puts them at the heart of the sectors they serve. The Globe Building is that sweet spot and provides all the amenity that they require to be an agile partner to fast growing businesses.”
