Care home group adds ninth property to its portfolio

Priesty Fields care home

Warrington-based Sandstone Care Group has added a ninth facility to its portfolio.

The Cheshire care home operator has taken operational ownership of Priesty Fields Care Home in Congleton.

The 78-bed home, its first in Cheshire, offers refined residential and nursing care customised to each individual.

The care home’s chef provides a wide selection of freshly prepared meals for residents to choose from, while the home’s activity coordinators ensure residents can pursue hobbies and interests through a weekly activity programme.

The home also has a spa for residents, a cinema, café, gym, corner shop and an in-house hairdressing salon as well as its own gastro-pub.

The home, which takes its name from the expansive green space situated at the south of the market town, joins eight other homes in the Sandstone Care Group in Lancashire, Merseyside, Powys in Wales and Shropshire.

Steven Hamblett

Operations manager, Steven Hamblett, said: “As with all our homes, we’re committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred care while empowering our residents to maintain as much independence as possible.

“At Priesty Fields Care Home we have a dedicated team ready to provide residential, nursing, respite and tailored professional care services to the local community.”

An open day will be held in the New Year with the opportunity to meet the team and have a look around the facilities.

As part of the investment in the care home, a number of new jobs are due to be created including nurses, care assistants and care practitioners. A recruitment day will be held in January.
