Roll-out under way of Manchester’s newest pasta business

Two Manchester-born brothers marked the start of their restaurant roll-out on Saturday, January 6, with the opening of their flagship first pasta kitchen in Ancoats.
Rigatoni’s will open two further sites this week, at Altrincham, on Tuesday, January 9, and Sale, the following day, January 10.
The new venture comes from the brothers who originally founded Sugo Pasta Kitchen, in Altrincham in 2015.
Having building a cult following over the past eight years, the team behind the brand have now developed Rigatoni’s, which they say is set to champion simplicity and affordability, bringing quality pasta to the masses.
They aim to create a versatile dining experience which customers can enjoy on any occasion.
The brand’s house-made rigatoni is made fresh at each site, which is crafted using a bronze die, resulting in a textured finish, designed to capture and complement the sauces ‘asciutta’ style. The menu features a diverse array of hearty pasta bowls.
Co-founder, Alex de Martiis, said “Rigatoni’s marks a new beginning for our restaurants. Our aim is to serve our communities for years to come with a quality, accessible and uncomplicated menu.
“So far we have seen an incredible reception for Rigatoni’s, and we are looking forward to welcoming old and new customers into our restaurants over the coming weeks.”
Rigatoni’s also opened its kitchen within Exhibition in the city centre, with Deliveroo and takeaways available from all venues from January 15.
