Manchester law firm, Bexley Beaumont, chief executive, Karen Bexley, says the arrival of regulatory and health and safety partner, Emma Evans, has enhanced the range of services which the firm is able to offer clients.

Ms Bexley described Ms Evans as “another significant appointment” which bodes well for the coming year: “The fact that Emma has chosen to join us provides a great start to our fifth year in business.

Ms Evans has acquired a formidable reputation during a 15-year legal career which has seen her take up positions with a number of leading North West and national firms, most recently at Pinsents and Brabners.

The last decade has seen her develop a strong regulatory and health and safety practice, advising a rapidly expanding client roster of businesses across the country – work which has seen her identified by one of the UK’s most prestigious legal rankings, Legal 500, as a “rising star”.

Jonathan Lowe

CBRE has appointed Jonathan Lowe as Head of Science and Technology for the North. The strategic, new role will further strengthen CBRE’s offer for occupiers, operators and investors in this quickly evolving sector.

Formerly head of Life Sciences at Avison Young, Jonathan brings a diverse range of expertise advising developers, investors, occupiers and universities across multiple asset classes including offices, industrial and EV. Additionally, he has public sector experience, having been seconded to central government departments Ministry of Justice and Department of Education/MHCLG.

Jonathan will work across CBRE’s Northern region, providing enhanced sector specialism to align with the growing Science and Technology sectors. While further developing the offering to existing clients such as Bruntwood Sci-Tech and GMPF, Jonathan will develop out the occupational work by advising Life Science occupiers and advising Science and Technology companies.

Will Haselden

Leonherman, the Manchester-based Chartered Accountants and Strategic Advisory firm, has made two key appointments to bolster its strategic financial advisory service.

Ian Wynne returns to the firm in the role of Director of Client Services, while Will Haselden has been promoted into the role of Technical Development Lead.

Alex Isles

Alex Isles has been appointed by property consultant Fisher German as a partner in its residential development agency team and will be based across the firm’s Manchester, Knutsford and Chester offices.

He has more than 10 years’ experience working in the development industry across the North West. Alex began his career at Roger Hannah where he passed his APC, before moving to Cushman and Wakefield. He then moved on to JLL before joining the partnership at Fisher German.

Fast growing Warrington-based facilities management company, The Westgrove Group, has welcomed Mark Allison as Head of ESG.

JLL has appointed Joe Bostock to join its North West Industrial and Logistics team based in Manchester taking the team to five agents.

Joe joins JLL from WT Gunson, where he specialised in the disposal of freehold and leasehold commercial properties as well as rent reviews, lease renewals, and valuation work.

In his role at JLL, Joe will play a crucial part in expanding and servicing the team’s diverse instruction base. This includes working closely with developers, property companies, corporate and institutional clients on lettings, freehold sales, and acquisitions.
