Staff relocate as consultancy completes £800k fit-out of new city centre office

Built environment consultancy, The Ridge and Partners, has moved 122 staff into 100 Embankment following completion of the fit-out of its new Manchester office.

The multi-disciplinary property advisor have signed a 10-year lease on the 10,539 sq ft second floor office, developed by Ask Real Estate.

The practice previously occupied 4,000 sq ft on the 5th floor of Belvedere House, with the move accommodating the firm’s growth in staff numbers and service lines.

Manchester office managing partner, Lucy Osborne, said: “The new office provides the efficient and modern BREEAM Excellent Rated space our colleagues and clients need and we’re very pleased with the transition.

“We’ve invested more than £800,000 in the fit-out, introducing new systems and technology to help streamline workflow and enhance client service as we go.”

The North West arm of the national practice’s service lines include core disciplines such as architecture, building services engineering, building surveying, civil and structural engineering, cost management, project management and sustainability.

Further specialised services, including expert witness, fire safety, digital engineering, geotechnical engineering and lighting design, complete the multi-disciplinary offering.

Partner, Chris Bradburn, said: “The flexibility of our space accommodates individual project teams, which draw on colleagues from other offices, allowing for essential collaborative working.”

The office is led by three of the firm’s national service heads – Lucy Osborne (expert witness), Chris Bradburn (building services engineering) and Chris Haworth (infrastructure).

The firm employs more than 1,200 staff from 11 offices nationwide, including Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds in the North.
