Build To Rent development set to open, offering 352 new homes
The Castings, a new Build To Rent community coming to Piccadilly East, will open its doors to residents on July 16.
The 352 homes to rent in Manchester’s newest neighbourhood are owned by CDL Hospitality Trusts (CDLHT), which also owns the iconic 5-star Lowry Hotel and upscale lifestyle hotel, voco Manchester – City Centre located at the heart of Manchester city centre.
The design-led BTR community is bringing a new offering to the neighbourhood with its range of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.
The Castings is located in Piccadilly East, just behind Manchester Piccadilly train station. The area sits conveniently next to Ancoats, New Islington and the Northern Quarter.
The lifestyle-led development features a gym and studio, lounges, roof terrace, private dining spaces and a home working hub. At ground floor level there are also three retail units ranging from 400 sq ft to 3,000 sq ft which will soon provide amenities for residents and those in the surrounding area.
The studio space is kitted out with an innovative multi-use class zone, with virtual instructors available seven days a week. The gym contains state of the art equipment from Technogym including a free weights zone, squat rack, cardio equipment and cable resistance machines.
The home working hub and Resident Lounge is aimed at those who work from home. The space contains 12 desk spaces, plus three private booths, a bookable meeting room and a media room with a 85” TV and large sofa seating.
The residents’ lounge is kitted out with a pool table, 65” TV and a variety of board games.
The main rooftop terrace at The Castings sits on the 21st floor with views of the city and comfortable seating. There are also two other private terraces situated on the first floor for residents to relax and spend time outside.
A private dining room has a table large enough to seat 10 guests plus lounge space for the perfect party setting.

Prices for the new build-to-rent scheme start from £1,180 per month for a studio apartment, £1,310 for a one-bed apartment, £1,525 per month for a two-bed and £2,165 for a three-bed apartment.
