Final countdown commences to honour North West’s outstanding leaders
This week sees the final countdown for entries into our 2025 Leadership Awards event.
With a bumper 21 categories this time the event, now in its seventh year, will recognise the cream of the region’s company bosses, crowned by an overall Leader of the Year accolade which will be selected by judges from the award winners.
Nick Oettinger, chief executive of The Furniture Recycling Group, was hailed as the overall 2024 Leader of the Year.
Nick is an esteemed circular economist and an influential green leader. His pioneering innovations in mattress recycling and rejuvenation have led to 3.5 million mattresses diverted from landfills, earning him recognition as a Global Recycling Hero and a leading advocate for sustainability.
By definition, leaders always have their plate full, but by taking a few moments out of the working week to hit the ‘enter’ link they can help enhance the North West’s rich pedigree of producing inspirational, innovative and empowering figureheads.
The North West Leadership Awards 2025 is an annual celebration which will highlight the people who are role models within their organisations and raise the bar for their competitors. The winners will show the qualities of extraordinary leadership and be able to demonstrate the positive impact this has had.
