Courier expands US growth with $1.5m investment in HQ and warehouse space
Knutsford-based national same day courier firm, Speedy Freight, has expanded further in the US market, opening a new office and a 50,000 sq ft warehouse in Irving, Texas, in an investment of approximately $1.5m.
The site is strategically positioned near Dallas Fort-Worth Airport, a prominent US logistics gateway.
Having only launched in Texas earlier this year, the new Dallas site will serve as Speedy Freight’s US headquarters and training academy, offering state-of-the-art training aligned with international standards of quality and security certifications.
The US expansion reflects Speedy Freight’s bold vision for growth in the competitive logistics market, particularly in Full Truck Load (FTL), Less Than Truckload (LTL), Drayage, and Expedited services, it said.
Furthermore, the company offers tech-enabled parcels and fulfilment services, tailored with bespoke systems to address the unique demands of each sector.
Speedy Freight operates more than 60 branches in the UK and is now well under way with its global expansion plans, having launched in Spain recently, too.
The firm is set to secure eight franchises in the US by the end of 2025, reinforcing its goal to grow to 60 franchises by 2030.
