Channel Islands airline launches Manchester route

AN airline based in the Channel Islands is launching a new daily flight service between Manchester and Jersey.

Blue Islands will begin flights on the route, with an connection to Jersey, from October 31 with fares starting from £45 one way.

The airline’s managing director, Rob Veron, said: “Manchester is a key Northern destination for leisure travel – perfect for football matches, music concerts and shopping! Combined with our no baggage charges, free ticket changes and no credit or debit card charges – Blue Islands now provide a truly unique product to Manchester.”

Manchester Airport’s managing director, Andrew Harrison, said: ““Blue Islands is new to Manchester and I’m very pleased that they have chosen to operate services from here, once again demonstrating the attractiveness of Manchester to airlines.

“The Channel Islands are very popular destinations and we know that our passengers will be pleased that these remain part of our network.”
