Health Rack entrepreneur launches ‘weight loss’ chocolate bar

AN entrepreneur from Lancashire has created a chocolate bar which doubles as a ‘superfood’ which is packed with vitamins and essential vitamins.
Gary Bailey – who founded the Health Rack chain of health food shops which are headquartered in Preston – has combined acai berries with chocolate.
The acai berry, which comes from Brazil, is a super fruit that contains 19 different amino acids, vitamins as well as potassium, calcium, copper, magnesium and zinc.
Mr Bailey claims that his new Choco-vit bars can be used as an aid to healthy eating, weight loss and even mood enhancement.
He said: “Choco-Vit is not just another box of chocolates – this is a superfood that uses chocolate as a means of delivering all the vitamins, essential minerals and anti-oxidants that health conscious individuals should take every day.
“It’s an entirely new concept in health food, an alternative to supplements and vitamin pills, that will transform healthy eating into a pleasure we will all look forward to.

Mr Bailey believes Choco-vit will appeal to all who want to eat healthily including sportsmen and women who want improve their performance and slimmers can use it as part of a weight-loss programme because each square contains just 27 calories.
Chocolate also contains Phenylethylamine, a mood elevator which gives it a feel good factor, as well as essential minerals such as magnesium and copper.
Mr Bailey said: “Getting the chocolate/acai berry mix right has been the main challenge during the development of this product over the past two years.
