THE owners of a Bury chip shop have opened their first Manchester city centre shop at The Printworks.

THE owners of a Bury chip shop have opened their first Manchester city centre shop at The Printworks.

Craig and Debra Winstanley, who own Totti’s Fish Bar in Bury, have expanded with the opening of Moby’s Fish Bar in the hope of capitalising on city centre footfall.

Visitors to The Printworks unit will find traditional fish and chips in an environment with upmarket decor, fitting with the current trend for ‘posh’ fish and chips. Moby’s specialises in serving very chunky chips which are lower in fat than standard ‘chippy’ chips.

Debra Winstanley said: “We have been waiting for the right time to enter the Manchester market and felt it was now. We hope our customers will find a contemporary fish bar where you can eat in or take out but at really reasonable prices.”

Fred Booth, The Printworks centre director, added: “It’s key for us to get the right mix of tenants at The Printworks and the addition of Moby’s adds a new dynamic to our strong restaurant portfolio.

“We’re delighted to welcome another local, independent business from Greater Manchester to the scheme and in the few days Moby’s has been open, footfall has been impressively high so we have high hopes for the team there.”

Moby’s Fish Bar will be open from midday to 11pm Sunday to Thursday, midday to 1am Friday and Saturday.
